Olmstead Currency sees grading as absolutely essential to your satisfaction with the coin or note. We make a real effort to grade conservatively. Our philosophy is that we would also rather be accused of being expensive than over-grading, as over-grading is an ethical issue. It is important to become a good grader as price is a poor guide by itself. A VF that is graded EF and priced lower than most EF’s is a bad buy – if the grade is wrong, the price is too high. If you are not an experienced grader then you must chose your dealer very carefully.
At Olmstead Currency we grade hundreds of notes and coins every week and so we must make errors. If we make a mistake please tell us and let us fix the problem. Your satisfaction is the key to our future.
